
Avi Livneh, M.D.

Dr. Avi Livneh received his M.D. from the Sackler School of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University in 1973. From 1985 to 1988 he worked as a Fellow in Rheumatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Professor Livneh was head of the Department of Medicine from 2001 where he pursued research on autoantibodies against a diversity of antigens. He acquired his basic science research skills at the Weizmann Institute of Science and at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He more recently focused his basic research on amyloidosis and genetic aspects of FMF. Dr. Livneh is sought by patients the world over for his exceptional clinical expertise.
